Won in 20 hole playoff over Jenny Chuasiriporn

She Won: $267,500
The Scoop:
This victory is undoubtedly the greatest achievement of Se Ri's career so far. Played on the deadly hard Blackwolf Run course, in nasty conditions (especially on Saturday), one superstar after another was ground into submission. On the last day, Se Ri was in the lead until 20 year old amateur Jenny Chuasiriporn made an improbable 40 foot putt on the 18th hole to tie. They played an 18 hole playoff round the next day. Se Ri quickly dropped 4 shots back, but hung in there, and Jenny eventually dropped back into a tie. On the 18th hole, Se Ri had to hit a rescue shot standing knee deep in water. She saved bogey, and the Open went to sudden death for the first time in history. Two holes later, Se Ri sank an 18 foot birdie and won it all. South Korea went wild; half the country had stayed up all night to watch the final!
