The Scoop:
Se Ri got off to a decent start in this one with a 70, putting her four shots out of the lead. She crept to within three with a second round 68. She went -5 on the first nine of her third round, temporarily taking the lead before a slow back nine dropped her to third. In the fourth round she recovered from two early bogeys with an eagle. On the back nine she went crazy, making two clutch par saves, hitting two approaches to within a couple of feet for easy birdies, and making a long winding putt for birdie on 15. She easily birdied 16 and 17 to beat off a charge by young American Angela Stanford, then nearly holed a 200 yard approach for double eagle on 18. She finished with a tournament record -21 after just missing her short downhill eagle putt for a 62. One of the most dominating performances ever by Se Ri!
