The Scoop:
Seon Hwa Lee nearly lost in the first round of the World Match Play. 3 down
with four to play to Diana D'Alessio, she rallied to win that match. She
would not be seriously threatened again until the semifinals, which she
won in a close battle over top Seoul Sister Mi Hyun Kim. The finals pitted
her against Japanese star Ai Miyazato. It was a pitched battle early, with
the lead changing hands several times. On the back nine, Lee grabbed a lead
and held on to it. She birdied her final three holes to hold off her hard
charging foe and win the title. |
