Yeon Joo Lee started playing golf at age 15.
She had limited amateur experience before turning pro in 2005.
That year she competed on the KLPGA. In 2006, she played on
the Futures Tour, where her best finish was a tie for second.
She gained a non-exempt card on the LPGA tour
by finishing tied for 44th at the 2006 LPGA Qualifying School.
However, she only played three LPGA events in 2007 and was
not able to keep her card.
In 2009, she was on the Futures Tour, but
only played in five events, none later than June. Presumably
she has been dealing with injury issues. She played on the
Korean Dream Tour, a mini tour in that country, in 2010, but
did not do well enough to advance to the KLPGA. She continued
to play on the Dream Tour in 2011.
In 2012, Yeon Joo was on the KLPGA tour, where
she finished 47th on the money list. Her best result was a
10th at the Nefs Masterpiece, her only top ten of the year.
Lee was only 71st on the KLPGA money list
in 2013. Her best finish was a fifth at the Lotte Cantata
Open; it was her only top ten of the season.
Lee played on the minor league Dream Tour
in 2014. She was back on the KLPGA in 2015, but only finished
98th on the money list that season. She returned to the minor
leagues starting in 2016.
Lee does not seem to have played since 2017
and may have retired.
