Capsule Bio

As an amateur, Sae Hee Son was a member of the 2003 Korean National team. She turned pro in late 2004, and immediately finished tied for 7th at LPGA Q-School to earn her exempt card for the 2005 season. Her season was by and large what you would expect: a learning process, and she was forced to return to Q-School at the end of the year. Fortunately, she regained her exempt status by finishing 16th at Q-School.

In 2006, Son started out OK, even scoring a tie for 22nd at her first event of the year. But starting with the Takefuji Classic in May, her scores ballooned, and she had completely disappeared from tour by mid-May. She was limited to eight events that season due to a right ankle injury. In 2007, she was healthy, but missed all but two cuts and made only $7,000. She was not able to maintain her tour card, and failed to get a new one of any kind at Q-School.

Son played the Futures Tour starting in 2008 and in Korea a little later, but seems to have retired after the 2014 season.
