Soo Young Kim turned professional in 2000. She played
on the KLPGA, then in 2002 played on the Futures Tour, where she
had one win and one second place finish and a total of 3 top tens
in 13 events played. She got onto the LPGA by finishing tied for
15th at Q-School in 2002.
In 2003, her rookie year, Kim had a decent start
before an injury ended her season in late May. She played the full
year in 2004, but was not able to maintain her card, and thus had
to return to Q-School. Unfortunately, she was not able to get a
card there, either, and thus returned to the KLPGA tour.
Kim has not played on the KLPGA since at least 2010
and seems to have retired.
