Hannah Jun started playing golf at the age of 12.
She quickly became a top junior in the AJGA. In 2002, she was runner
up at the World Junior Golf Championship, and in 2003, she won the
Callaway World Junior Golf Championship. She joined the UCLA golf
team in 2003 and was a top player for that squad for four years,
where she was a teammate of Tiffany Joh for several years.
In late 2005, Hannah was in a horrific car accident.
It took her several months to recover from the various injuries
she received. But six months later, she was back on the golf course
competing at a high level.
After graduating from college in 2007, Hannah turned
her sights on qualifying for the LPGA. She competed on the minor
league Cactus tour, then finished tied for 25th at Q-School to earn
conditional status for 2008.
In 2008, Jun only made a few cuts in the LPGA events
she played; her best finish was a tie for 25th. She lost all playing
status on tour for 2009. That year, she played on the Futures Tour,
where she finished 28th on the money list.
She returned to the Futures Tour in 2010, but this
time had a much better season. She wound up 9th on the money list,
earning limited tour status on the LPGA for 2011. She had 7 top
tens during the year, with her best finish being a tie for 2nd.
Jun played a few events on the LPGA in 2011 but
didn't make any money. She concentrated on the Futures Tour, but
was not able to make enough money there to get onto the LPGA. She
went to Q-School, but got no status there, either. Fortunately,
she made a little cash playing some events on the Ladies European
Tour.
In 2012, Jun played 16 events on the Symetra Tour,
the new name for the Futures Tour. She made 15 cuts, had 2 top ten
finishes, and ended up 22nd on the money list. A good outing, but
not good enough to make it back to the LPGA tour.
Hannah also played in Europe, where she made about
30,000 Euros in 2012 and finished 78th on the money list. In 2013,
she focused on the Symetra Tour. She made over $36,000 there and
finished 7th on the money list, earning back playing privileges
for the LPGA tour in 2014.
Hannah married in 2014 and took the name Hannah
Jun Medlock. She had her best season ever in 2014, largely thanks
to a T-19th finish at the Airbus Classic, her first ever top 20.
She finished 125th on the money list.
Hannah played on the Symetra Tour in 2015, but did
not play after that. She does not seem to have any more status on
the LPGA and may have retired.
