Hae Jung Kim started playing golf at the age
of 10. She did not play a lot of amateur golf before she turned
pro in early 2004. She joined the KLPGA, and won the ADT-CAPS
event on that tour in 2005. Hae Jung also collected a win
on the Ladies Asian Tour early in 2006.
In late 2006, Kim competed at LPGA Q-School,
where she gained non-exempt status on tour for 2007 by finishing
tied for 53rd. She returned to Korea in 2007, however, and
did not play on the LPGA tour at all. She thus did not keep
her card for 2008.
Hae Jung Kim attended 2008 LPGA Qualifying
School, but failed to earn a card. Since then, she has played
on the KLPGA and their developmental tours.
In 2014, she played on the KLPGA main tour
and did decently, finishing 36th with 116 million won earned.
Her best results were two 10th place finishes.
Kim finished 78th on the KLPGA money list
in 2015. Her best finish was a 28th place. Her money list
position for 2016 was just 110th. Her best finish was a 20th.
In 2017, Hae Jung played on the minor league
Dream Tour in South Korea. She has not played at all since
2018 and might have retired.
