The Scoop:
The Canadian Women's Open was played in 2005 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It was sparsely attended by the top players on the money list; indeed, Meena Lee was the top player on that list at the event. Meena was hot coming in, having recently finished second at the World Match play event. For three rounds, Scottish player Janice Moodie controlled the tournament, but she suffered a meltdown on the final day and Meena was able to capture the victory, her first on the LPGA.
