The Scoop:
The Office Depot moved in 2005 to the new Trump National course in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. This gorgeous course, perched on a hillside, had its fair share of challenges, including wind and some pretty tough greens. On the first day, the conditions were actually pretty ideal, but the tricky nature of the course led to slow play. Hee-Won played in the afternoon wave, and did not finish her round until late in the day. But thanks to a quick start, where she birdied four of her first five holes, she had a share of the lead by the end of the day's action. On Saturday, fog delayed the start of the round, and play was not completed. Han again got out to a great start, birdieing three holes early, and finished her round with the lead at 9 under. On Sunday, she only finished half her round before the sun set; she was tied with Jeong Jang late, but Jang had a double bogey on the final hole of the day to fall back. Coming back for a rare Monday finish, Han again quickly birdied two holes to move to 11 under. Her challenge came from a surging Soo-Yun Kang and a steady Mi Hyun Kim, but in the end, Han simply made no mistakes and walked away with her fourth career win.
