The Scoop:
The Honda LPGA Thailand is the first ever official LPGA event in Thailand, and this was its first year. Hee-Won Han had been in a bit of a slump leading up to this event, but she shot a 5 under 67 in round one to put herself into contention. By the end of round two, she was only two shots out of the lead, behind untested American player Nicole Castrale. Hee-Won didn't take long to assert herself in the final round. After just a few holes, Castrale had slipped out of the lead, and by the 9th hole, thanks to four straight birdies on the front nine, Han had the tournament well in hand. She would go on to win by five shots, her biggest victory margin since joining the tour.
