The Scoop:
Grace shot a decent even par 72 to start the week, but leapt into contention with a 69 on Friday and a blistering 67 on Saturday. She started Sunday tied for the lead with Aree Song, a 17 year old rookie playing only her third event as an LPGA pro. Nonetheless, Song played well, and had the lead for a while. But then Grace put together four consecutive birdies from holes 9 - 12 to take a two shot lead. She retained that lead until the par 5 18th hole, when Song made an amazing second shot to the island green, then sank the eagle putt. Grace was left with a six foot birdie putt to win, and drained it perfectly to capture her first career Major.
