One stroke over Karrie Webb
Christina Kim came into this event playing extremely well. She had just barely lost an event only a few weeks earlier, and was determined to get another chance to win. Through three rounds, she had carved out a nice lead for herself, but on Sunday, she made a few mistakes, allowing Karrie Webb to catch her before the turn. But showing the poise of a veteran, Christina fought back, eventually making several clutch shots in the last few holes to seal her first career LPGA victory. It was especially sweet as it came only a few hours from where she grew up.
