Jeong Jang has several charities she works with, including the Korean Red Cross. This year she has had a program called 'Birdies for Love'. She has ponied up 10,000 won for every birdie she has made since winning her first LPGA tournament back in August of 2005. The total came out to 7,920,000 won. On December 17th in the morning in Seoul, she met with officials representing the charity to hand over the money. Keep up the Birdies for Love, JJ!

In late December, Jin Joo Hong gave the media a glimpse of her workout regimen. She is working with a pilates instructor to strengthen her core, probably to increase her driving distance and make her more competitive. The exercise shown here is meant to increase inner thigh and body core strength.

In late December, the nine Korean members of the Lexus Cup team decided to donate some of their winnings in that event to charity. They appeared at Seoul City Hall to present the check to Korea's Community Chest, a charity that helps those in need in the country. Each of the nine golfers donated 300,000 won for a total of 27 million won; that total was matched by Toyota of Korea, so the entire donated amount ended up being 54 million won. Lexus Cup captain Se Ri Pak showed up to present the check, accompanied by fellow teammates Jee Young Lee, Meena Lee, In-Kyung Kim and Ji Yai Shin.

Meena Lee had earlier in the month already contributed to this charity. She donated golf lessons to a bunch of amateurs who donated to the Community Chest for the chance to learn helpful golf tips from the Korean golf star.
