Mi Hyun Kim had a knee operation in mid-December. It is expected she
will require three to five weeks of rehabilitation afterwards. Hopefully
she will come into the 2008 season much healthier than she left it! Shortly
before that happened, she took in a basketball game in Inchon, on the
5th of December. The game was between Inchon and Pusan; given that Kimmie
hails from Inchon, you'd guess she supports that team, but the Pusan team
is sponsored by her sponsors, KTF. Talk about a difficult choice! I'm
guessing she's going to stay neutral on this one.

Soo-Yun Kang was offered a new endorsement deal.
Tovice Leisure Group has given her a one year contract to serve as their
spokesmodel. You may recall that Shi Hyun Ahn was a model for them in 2007.
Kang's contract is for 200,000,000 won. She appeared on the 10th of December
at 11:30 am in Seoul at the Lotte Hotel in the 36th floor Bellevue Hall
with the Chairman of Tovice to announce the deal. It also gave her fans
a chance to see her spiffy new hairdo. |

Hee Young Park has been one of the top players
on the KLPGA tour for the last few years. Thanks to her success at this
year's qualifying school, she will get a chance to test herself on the LPGA
in 2008. In the meantime, she's still back in Korea, and is making a few
public appearances. Here we see her on December 10th at the Venus Golf Club.
She gave a clinic which was attended by several notables, including this
year's Miss Korea Ji Eun Yoo, and the 1992 Barcelona Gold Medalist in the
marathon, Young Jo Hwang. |
