LPGA Golf Cards!
How's this for a kick in the pants? Upper Deck has announced that starting in May (which means now!), packs of their Golf collector cards will also feature, along with the usual PGA pros, 13 LPGA pros! Included among that group is none other than Seoul Sister Se Ri! And that's not all! Besides the 'regular' cards, there will be special inserts that will include themes such as Major winners. Guess what? Se Ri has two Major winners card too, and several others as well. We can only hope there will be even more Se Ri card collecting action as the other 'special edition' cards are released later this year! Sometime soon I'll try to assemble a complete collection for your viewing enjoyment!

Se Ri's Magazine appearances
Be on the lookout, Se Ri is appearing in three different magazines this month. Golf Digest's May edition has a one page feature on what Se Ri is working on this year (her chipping and keeping her shoulder down on her drives, in case you were wondering). And the May issue of Golf For Women has a lovely analysis of her swing by none other than her coach Tom Creavy! And she is also one of the 101 most important minorities in sports, according to Sports Illustrated; they even have a little picture of her on the cover, the first time she has ever been so honored!

Look for them on newstands now, or check out the online versions using the following links:

Blasts from the Past
In my travels around the internet, I often stumble across interesting Seoul Sister content. Here is a link to three interesting film clips featuring ladies you may recognize. Yes, they are all in Korean, and the first one in particular has a lot of talking, so it might not be that interesting to you. But if you like these golfers, check them out! On each page, you'll notice a section that offers you a choice between LAN and 56K. Click on the connection appropriate for your internet connection to watch the video.

Video 1: Grace Park. This video features an interview with de lovely Grace. Most of it is just her talking, but check out the cool Grace Park statue in the background! Click here

Video 2: Hite Championship. This is a fascinating look at a wrapup of the Hite tournament on the KLPGA from 2000. In the final pairing we have three golfers who are all now on the LPGA: Soo Yun Kang, Sunny Lee and Ara Koh. I won't spoil the ending! In case you are wondering why the winner is drinking beer from the trophy, Hite is a Korean beer company (so we can only hope she is drinking the sponsor's product and not a competitor!). Click here

Video 3: Se Ri Pak. A very affecting video showing Se Ri in 1998 practicing on the range with her father. Gives an interesting insight into her relationship with her dad. Something happens towards the end you don't often see; I won't spoil it! Click here

Money List
To the left is the current LPGA money list as of May 7, 2003. Se Ri was briefly in the #1 spot on the list, but Annika, on the last hole of the last day at the Michelob Open, made a birdie to move to 6th, which allowed her to retake the lead by less than $10,000. Just wait til next week! Meanwhile, Grace Park was the big mover, vaulting up to third on the money list from 7th, thanks to her big money win at the Michelob Light Open. Hee-Won climbs to tenth, and Mi Hyun to 12th from 25th, setting up another wonderful season for those two ladies. Lastly, Soo Young Kim appears in the top 100 for the first time this season!
