Letter From the Editor

If you have come to SeoulSisters.com in the past, you may notice that there is a new look to the site in 2003. One of those changes is the section you are in right now, 'The Magazine'. What gives? Well, I have made a couple of changes to make the site more fun and easier to use. One problem a lot of people had was that the navigation was difficult. If you came to the site looking for pictures of Grace Park, for instance (a popular reason to come here), you might stumble upon her player page in time, but even so, not all of her photos on the site were available in her gallery. In response, I have changed the layout of the site so that each of the featured players on the site has their own section, and each of the galleries will be as up to date as possible with the latest photos. These sections can be reached via handy menus on the left of each page, so you are never more than a couple of clicks away from info, news and photos of your favorite players.

In addition, I have expanded the scope of whom I am covering. In 2002 I primarily focused on Se Ri Pak, Mi Hyun Kim and Grace Park, with occasional mentions of other Korean players on tour. Now I have expanded coverage of several other top players and players who interest me (Hee-Won Han, Gloria Park, Soo Yun Kang and Jimin Kang, for instance). Every other Korean player on the LPGA and a few notable amateurs and KLPGA players also get a little mention here (and there are a lot of them!). The focus is still primarily on the Big Three, the Seoul Sisters as I call them, because they are the most newsworthy and interesting of the Korean players. But I wanted to make sure fans of the other players didn't go away entirely empty handed!

The other big change is in the way I will handle news. Instead of putting up a tournament summary every week, I will now publish a bi-weekly magazine (well, really an e-zine, as it does not exist in paper form) called Seoul Sisters Magazine. You are 'holding' the first virtual copy in your virtual hands right now! In this magazine will be the usual tournament wrap-ups you've come to expect. But the bi-weekly format will hopefully give me more time to write additional articles about whatever is going on in the world of Korean Ladies golf. There will also be added features as time permits, such as the serialized diary of Se Ri Pak that a friend was kind enough to translate for us, a letters page (if anyone writes!), games, cool photos, and anything else my feverish imagination comes up with. I'll still put up the occasional news blurb on the main page for important events, but will focus on making the Magazine the new forum for Seoul Sisters news.

So check out the premiere issue of the Magazine, surf around the new site, and let me know what you think! Anyonghee kaseyo!
