Capsule Bio

Su Ji Kim turned pro in mid-2014 and played on the Dream Tour for two seasons before qualifying for the KLPGA in 2017. The next few years she occasionally made a top ten but was otherwise rather unremarkable.

Then, in 2021, she suddenly had a huge improvement in her game, becoming one of the elite players on tour. That year she finished 7th on the money list, earning nearly 750 million won. She claimed her first two career wins, at the KG EDaily Ladies Open and the Hite Jinro Championship, one of the year's five Majors. She was even more impressive in 2022, where she again earned two wins, but made over a billion won and finished second on the money list. That year she won back-to-back weeks at the Pak Se Ri Invitational and the Hana Financial Championship. She had an additional 15 top tens, including two seconds, two thirds and three fourths. After a slow start, she has established herself as one of the very best on tour.

Su Ji had another strong season in 2023. She had one win at the Hanwha Classic, as well as a second, three thirds and 11 total top tens. She earned 904 million won, 4th on the money list. She has risen to 39th in the world rankings. She also played at the JLPGA's Salonpas Cup, where she finished tied for 10th.

Su Ji had another great KLPGA season in 2024. She just missed breaking a billion won for the year, making 996 million, fifth on the money list. She was also third in scoring average. She had one win, at the Hite Cup, three second place finishes and one third. She had eleven total top tens.

Su Ji also played a few times outside of Korea. She ended up tied for 29th at the JLPGA's Salonpas Cup and also at the US Women's Open, her first career LPGA Major.
