Grace 'Get Real' Profile
Grace Park's star has risen explosively on the LPGA tour in the past year, and the LPGA has taken notice. Once again, she was featured last week in a pictorial on the LPGA site. This time, it was part of their 'Get Real' series, sponsored by DSW. This series shows unusual shots of the golfers, and provides behind the scenes info about them. (Recently, the fans were allowed to vote for whom they wanted to see featured in this series. Se Ri Pak and Grace Park were two of the top four vote getters, so look forward to Se Ri's profile later this season).

The feature contains an interview with Grace and a lot of small photos of her that were provided by Nike (some of them are also shown on Nike's site). The photos are quite unusual for the most part, and are worth a look. So click here already to check them out!!

Another week, another Korean contends on the Futures Tour
This season, Jimin Kang and 18 year old Seon-Hwa Lee have played sensational golf on the Futures Tour, capturing the top two spots on the money list to date. Last week, it was two other Korean players who finished tied for second to move onto the radar, Mee Na Lee and Kyoung Bae.

This week's event was the Isleta Casino & Resort Gold Classic in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and yet another different Korean player made a splash. The second round leader was Aram Cho of South Korea, a 19 year old who had managed one top ten so far in 2004, an 8th in Wichita. Cho played well on the final day, but Australian player Lindsey Wright steamed from out of the pack to draw even with her at the turn. Cho played the back nine well, but Wright was on fire, and that was the difference: Wright won the event at 13 under par. Aram Cho finished second at 11 under, enabling her to move into the top ten of the Futures Tour money list herself. Mee Na Lee grabbed a fourth place finish, Seon Hwa Lee a 9th and Jimin Kang a 20th.

So now the Futures Tour money list has Kang at the top, Seon Hwa Lee second by about 3 thousand dollars, Mee Na Lee 4th, and Aram Cho 5th. If the season ended today, four of the five players to gain LPGA cards would be Korean. Woh!

Next week is X-Canvas Week!
Every year in May, Se Ri heads back to Korea to participate in a KLPGA event. It used to be the Korean Open, but that has been shifted to later in the year. So last year and again this year, it is the KLPGA's X-Canvas event that she will play in. She is the defending champion, having won the crown there last year. Joining her on this trek will be some formidable LPGA competition, including Grace Park and Shi Hyun Ahn. Expect a lot of pics of them in Korea in our next issue!
