Highlight and Lowlights

As the World Spins:
Se Ri Pak experienced the Roller Coaster of Love this week for sure. After a solid first round, she was never able to keep herself consistent the rest of the tournament. Friday, for instance, she notched 8 birdies but also four bogeys. Grace Park also displayed her consistent inconsistency by shooting even par during round one, then following that with a 7 under par 65 to quickly right the ship.

She Just Might Win!
That's what long time LPGA fans were thinking when Super Rookie Shi Hyun Ahn moved herself into second place on Saturday following a very impressive 66, the lowest score in the entire field on that day. Alas, the weather turned, and for the worse...

A Mighty Wind:
The winds blew tough on Sunday, and even seasoned players felt the bite. Grace Park hung in there with an even par score, but Se Ri looked on her way to a terrible score after going four over on the front. Fortunately she snapped back and went two under on the back. Most devastated was Shi Hyun Ahn, who had a shot at her second career win before the winds wiped that away. She shot a 77.

Scuffed her Shin:
The wind did a number on 14 year old Michelle Wie as well. After moving herself within eye shot of a top ten through three rounds, she stumbled to a 5 over 77 on Sunday and finished 19th. Included in her round was a moment where she tripped over a TV cable and scuffed her shin in front of her adoring fans. Still, her 19th was her second best finish in an LPGA event (behind her 9th place at last year's Nabisco).

Wha Happening?
Soo Yun Kang missed her second cut of the year. Seol-An Jeon, who last week surprised everyone by grabbing a top ten, joined her in weekend vacationland.
