Seoul Sisters in the news!
About two weeks ago, Seoul Sisters received an e-mail from a reporter at Joong Ang Ilbo, a Korean daily newspaper with a circulation of more than 2 million readers daily. The reporter had found my site during a routine web search and was fascinated by it. He wanted to do an interview with me to find out what it was all about.

So, I dutifully sent back a lengthy reply and waited. Sure enough, last week, the profile was published! You can find it by clicking here!

The article itself talks at length about all the photos and data to be found on the site. But as it turns out, the reporter apparently did not get my reply e-mail, because in the last paragraph, he says he tried to interview the "mysterious" owner of the website but got no response!

Well, I was saddened by that, so I tried twice more to send e-mails to him, from two different e-mail accounts, even ones that would send back auto-responses when they are delivered and opened. No reply from him!

I don't know why we are having this 'comunication breakdown', but if the gentleman in question reads this, please know that it's not my fault! Thanks for the coverage!

This magazine cover was featured in the
Korean papers last week!

Se Ri Pak, the 'Stealth Superstar'
Here's an interesting article about Se Ri Pak recently published in the American press. The writer calls her the 'Stealth Superstar', meaning she is by and large ignored in the American press despite her incredible acomplishments. I have to disagree with some of his comments; for instance, 'The events of the past 10 months demand that our attention focus laser-like on these two (Sorenstam and Wie)'. What he seems to suggest is what I fear the media in general believes: that only the women who play in PGA events are worth focusing on (or else, why would Wie, who is certainly a talent but has not won all that many tournaments as of yet, be more worth focusing on than a 21-time, near Hall of Famer like Se Ri?).

Nonetheless, he makes several interesting observations about Se Ri, including a story about a poster that the LPGA produced which omitted Se Ri. I suggest reading it!

Money List
Welcome to our regular money list updates! We'll track how the Koreans placing in the top 100 on the LPGA money list are doing all year. In our first installment, the effects of Grace's two top threes are obvious: she is second on the money list to only you-know-who. Se Ri has played well but still finds herself only 8th on the money list; last year she was the top finisher among the Koreans, followed by Grace Park and Hee-Won Han. Han has had a ragged start to her campaign, and is only 55th on this list. Will Jung Yeon Lee, Shi Hyun Ahn and Aree Song be able to maintain their positions on the list, or will they fade as the year goes on? Stay tuned!
